On Monday, June 2, 2008 Tad, Jeff, and I had lunch at the Blues City Deli at 2438 McNair, St. Louis, Mo. 63104 . For $6.75 I had half of "The ‘Valenza Special’ Muffuletta" (Lots of Genoa Salami, Ham, Mortadella, Provolone and Mozzarella Cheese and Home Made Olive Salad on half an 8” Round Italian Bread) Plus a large bag of chips and a 32 ounce soda for an extra $2.09. If you like to eat you won’t be disappointed. They definitely don't skimp on the meat. We all agreed, we will be going back. The place is small, has indoor and sidewalk outdoor seating, with one wall brick and all sorts of photos and graphics of blues paraphernalia with blues music playing through their sound system. The Deli also has live music in the afternoon on Saturdays and occasionally on Thursday nights.
All in all, good food, good atmosphere. I suggest you give it a try.
